Christmas 2008

Well it began at 6:30 am. To early if I may say so. Damien, Roni, Cathy, and I had only gone to be at about 2:30 am so it was a horid wake up call. We finished putting thins up at about 12:30 but that WII got our attention. LOL!! It was a very big and wonderful Christmas. We had a very busy and quick opening of gifts. It goes so fast. By 8:30 we were done opening presents and the kids were back to fighting over each others toys. Nothing new. So fun things we got, DJ got a tool bench, a huge racetrack, and a bunch of tools. Brooke got her Barbie house back all the way redone filled with furniture, a camera, and a chou chou. Damien got a brand new guitar. I received a WII, a diamond necklace, a new computer, and a new printer. It was a great Christmas at our house. After a quick breakfast, we went to my moms. We had a time limit on when things had to be done. When we got there everyone was waiting for us. You would think they don't have other things to do. LOL!! It was a lot of fun at moms house. We each got really nice gifts. We went to Shaun and Tashas for lunch and hung out for a while. By the time we got home at 4:30 pm me and Damien wanted a nap. Yeah right. We had to put stuff together. By 8:30 it was everyones bedtime. What a great Christmas again. We are soo thankful for all our friend and family.

Christmas Eve 2008

Well Damien was able to be home for Christmas which was a huge relief to me. It was a crazy time getting him here though. He called me on December 22 and said he was stuck in Colorado cause of weather and wasn't sure when he was gonna be able to come further. I about went crazy. Surprise!! Surprise!! He arrived on December 23 in the late evening. He knew he had his work cut out for him though. He lives with me so he knew it would be hectic. Christmas Eve morning began at about 8. I knew I had a lot to do so up I got. It was quiet for a while though which was good. I started the potatoes and the ham. It was go go go all day. Christmas we spent with our families. It was nice having my mom, my siblings and family, Damiens mom and sister with her daughter and even my Grandma here. The food was great and the kids had a riot at the annual Parkin Family treasure hunt.

About Me

Family is truly the first and last thing we have in life. We spend so much time worrying about all the little things when it all boils down to not being important. Time moves to quickly to have regrets, so live in the moment everyday.
